Cinema Night at the LibraryJoin us for our new cinema discussion series at the main library. We show foreign, cult, and independent films that one might see in art-house cinemas like the Kendall, the Brattle, or the Coolidge Corner. Past films we have shown: Waking Life, Bob Le Flambeur, Three Kings, Night of the Hunter, An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge, Run Lola Run, Amelie, The Wicker Man, Black Sunday (the Mario Bava horror film), Spirited Away, Adaptation, City Lights, Bug, OT: Our Town, Light of My Eyes, Russian Ark, He Died with a Felafel in his Hand, Zus & Zo, Lost in Translation, Pieces of April, Kolya, Melvin Goes To Dinner, In America, Sullivan's Travels, The Barbarian Invasions, Out Of The Past, Freaks, The Bank Dick, Before Sunset, Garden State, The Horse's Mouth, Maria Full Of Grace, Hotel Rwanda, Blazing Saddles, Birth, A Very Long Engagement, Intimate Strangers, Tarnation, Grand Hotel, Cat People, The Big Lebowski, Jesus' Son, Me and You and Everyone We Know, Junebug, Everything Is Illuminated, The Road Home, Repo Man, Eraserhead, Brick, Lucky Number Slevin, Infernal Affairs, Little Miss Sunshine, The Proposition, The Science of Sleep, Empire Falls, An Inconvenient Truth, Pan's Labyrinth, High School Musical, Cat Ballou, The Lives of Others, The Bride of Frankenstein, The Thin Red Line, Rescue Dawn and Eagle vs. Shark. As part of the One Book Chelmsford program, the movie for this Thursday's Cinema Night (April 17th) at the Chelmsford Library will be:"To Kill A Mockingbird" by Robert Mulligan. On April 24 we will show "Fearful Symmetry: The Making of "To Kill a Mockingbird.'" Discussions to follow each film. Film starts promptly at 7 p.m. To receive email notifications of upcoming titles for Cinema Night, sign up for the Cinema Night Email Newsletter. The Library owns a DVD of each title we show, and you may place holds on them, in case you miss the Library's showing. Cinema Night takes place on the third Thursday of each month; film at 7 p.m. with discussion to follow. Refreshments provided.
