Summer Reading Registration 2007

Adults, Teens and Children can record their summer reading online this year.
The Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners is providing this tool to keep track of your summer reading.

Kids: summer reading registration begins Saturday, June 2
BE CAREFUL !
Online registration for children is tricky, please have a parent supervise.

Create a user name to login. You cannot have the same user name as someone else.
Do not give us your last name.
Just put in your initial when it asks for your last name.

You must choose how you want to record your reading before you register.

Do you want to list the books you read? Register on the tab that says Kids:Books
Do you want to count the time you spend reading? (If you read Harry Potter...) Register on the tab that says Kids:Minutes
Do you want to count the pages you read? (If you read Harry Potter....) Register on the tab that says Kids:Pages

We have paper Reading Logs if you want to keep track of reading that way. Please visit us at the library.

We are keeping track of how much time children spend reading.
We will make a contribution to the Chelmsford Friends of Music based on the amount that children read this summer. We will contribute $1 for every 5 hours (300 minutes) children read.
We will count 30 picture books as 5 hours.
If you track pages, we would like to know 2 things at the end of the summer:
How many pages you read in 15 minutes and How many pages in total you read.

Adults:
Do you want to keep a list of your summer reading and learn what others are enjoying?
Try our online Summer Reading program.
This tool lets you record the titles of your books and provide a review of them.
You may use the last 4 digits of your library card when registering . Please remember your PIN.
You may use an initial, rather than your last name during registration.
When you enter information about the books you read, you do not have to review them.
I Agree means you are willing to make your comments about the books public.
This is the link for the adult program.

Teens: same registration as adults using the teen link
